What’s your personal background?

“Already during my studies in Munich, I was gaining professional experience at an international consulting company. After my studies, I was working at an architectural office in Munich in the field of “Programming”. This included the analysis and planning procedures for the needs analysis and initial project evaluation of office and industrial property. After this assignment, I spent seven years on the project development and property management team of a developer. At the beginning of 2014, I changed to E & G Private Immobilien.”

What’s the most exiting aspect of your job?

Professional practice in residential property is really a diverse and varied experience, no day is the same. You are constantly facing a whole array of ever changing parameters. On the one hand, the property market always keeps changing. On the other hand you meet so many different people, when you work in residential real estate: clients who wish to fulfil their personal wishes and needs with their new property, but also contractors and construction companies, who need to calculate their works thoroughly and need to meet tight schedules. The most exiting aspect of my job is to respond to the changing conditions and to meet the individual needs of our clients in order to achieve best results for all parties involved in the respective property project.”

What experience in your more than 25 years at E & G Private Immobilien has been most memorable for you?

“A great experience was the selling of the historical Wittmann Villa to the Protestant Hospice Foundation in 2011. This listed building close to Eugenplatz in Stuttgart had become available when the French Institute decided to move into the inner city, across the street from Liederhalle. To find a new owner was not easy, and the search and negotiations went on for more than two years. The fact that after refurbishment of the protected monument the first Children and Youth Hospice of Baden-Württemberg moved into Villa Wittmann is still a wonderful thought to me. Children and their families are going through an extremely intensive phase of their lives here, at a beautiful place, close to the city, but also in a calm and protected environment.”

What do you like the most about your work as a Property Consultant?

“I really appreciate to be meeting totally different people every day and to be making new contacts in this way. In our business, the relation to our clients is very close and trustful, because the acquisition or selling of a residential property is for most people a landmark decision in their lives. It is a great experience to run into former clients and to find them still happy with their decision and with my consulting from years ago. What I also really like is that I’m on the go a lot in the city, but also in the Stuttgart Region. I’m very interested in urban development topics, for example how the quality of public space develops and how despite residential settlement living in and with nature is still possible in a metropolitan area like Stuttgart. It’s highly exiting to observe these trends and developments.”
